Bishop T. Tyrone Tyson DMin

Bishop T. Tyrone Tyson was born on July 18, 1967 to the late T.E. and Elaine Tyson in Winston-Salem, NC. He is eternally married to Dr. LaTanya Tyson and has 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He attended the Public School System and graduated from Parkland High School and continued his education at Forsyth Technical Community College, and Carolina Christian College where he received a BA in Ministry (Magna Cum Laude) and a master’s in religious education. He was honored with a fellowship at Princeton Theological Seminary in the Leadership and Black Theology Institute. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree at Payne Theology Seminary. His focus was Transformational Preaching

On May 22, 2015, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Tyson and 26 core members, organized and established Agape Baptist Fellowship Church. The inaugural service was held on May 31, 2015, at Carolina Christian College 4149 Indiana Ave Winston-Salem, NC. In early 2019 Bishop Tyson was led by God to plant a sister church in New York. Agape Christian Fellowship Church began formal bible study services in September and moved into their own facility in early 2020.

Also, in 2020 Bishop Tyson was led by God to birth The Agape Fellowship of Churches. The Agape Fellowship of Churches is a family of churches whose main goal is a return to the first century church model of evangelism, education, and empowerment. Currently there are churches in the US, Uganda, and Kenya under this covering'
